Hawk's blast seemed to scream as a scything splinter of metal embedded itself into the forehead of the approaching wannabe, knocking his head back with a dramatic spray of blood which arced into the air like a mismade, singular antler, formed of purest crimson, before splattering to the ground.
The third thug grasped Kaj's shoulder, turning into him and driving his knifeblade deep into Kaj's stomach, making him exhale a spray of blood as the short blade probably lacerated into one or two of his vital organs. (5 damage)
As a followup to the third thug's assault, the fourth thug brandished his club menacingly before delivering a blow to the back of Kaj's head, causing the latter's head to be filled with stars... And not to mention blinding pain. (3 Damage)
Yuuji's spellcasting was quick and effective, her constant surges of green energy sealing up Hawk's wounds as fast as they had appeared, and then some of the wicked laceration caused by the Street Samurai. (+10 HP)
The Street Samurai's attack against Hawk was turned away by a deft movement, catching him on the leg instead of in the face, which seemed to be a common target for low-grade trash such as these. They didn't seem to realize that some people actually work off of those looks. (5 Damage)
Kaj whipped up in a screech of pain and what could be best surmized as a temper tantrum. His whip flew out, lashing around the third thug, and then there was a splash of red as his arms were cut off at the elbow, and the whip went deeper yet, sinking into his vital organs. It seemed unlikely that he would survive until the docwagon arrived, even less the trip back to the hospital.
[Result]
Kaj: 5/21 Hawk: 11/23 Yuuji: 17/17 : 17/29

The battle was doing an interesting thing to Hawk... he was not one of those runners who lived for the thrill of a well planned assassination, or a carefully sketched out heist. He lived for the moment... always had, and always would. More simply put, he existed purely to witness that one pure moment when the bullet flew from the end of his gun, following a perfectly visualized trajectory, going exactly where it was supposed to. Into the air, into a target, into an opponent's skull... the whole of the experience was a beautiful thing to Hawk. He lived for that moment, the same way a dex-addict lived for his next derm, the same way a burned out back-alley slum kid scraping Nuyen together lives for his next Simsense. The chip-truth of it was... that bullet, that moment... was life to Hawk. And there was nothing more to it.
Right now, well, there was a /little/ more to it. Hawk was a bit worried... this fight wasn't as easy as he had hoped. True, he had been at the top of his game... so what more could he expect? But if he was a bit quicker than one could expect, he'd have taken less hits, and wasted each of these jokers in a single shot from his trusty ammo-eating friend. How he wished he had perfected his twitchy trigger finger to be useful by now...
Still, one couldn't spend their life waiting. Much less a short lived phenomenon like this spiffy little scuffle he had gotten himself into. Hopefully Fate and Luck had been watching... Hawk liked to play his cards right, and maybe hope he'd get smiles from both the members of the pair. 'Time to finish things...' he thought to himself hopefully.
And then there was only the click of this pistol, as Hawk raised it, aimed, and fired. There was always only that moment... and hopefully, this would be the last 'only' Hawk had to worry about today. As much as one lived for something... it could still take a lot out of them.

Yuuji seemed to be contradicting her thoughts and feelings in this whole battle, considering she made no attacks but was healing the people. Better alive than dead, right? The staff, however, was becoming a nuisance in her concentration so she let it slide back and drop to the ground. Holding her palms up she focused them both forward to try and move a little closer, knowing she could only do so little with her level of knowledge. Kaj was taking some pretty brutal hits and she steadied the sight of watching his blood.
Of course her distance was kept but she was close enough to make sure to heal more directly at the stomach, wanting that wound to heal first. One spell at a time was making her actions slow, but what could she do? Help was help.

Hawk's shot thudded into the Street Samurai, catching him in the chest and making him stagger back a moment, the crimson leaking slowly down his face, and he swore as it slowly ran into his eyes. He leaned on his Katana, panting, his free arm crossing his chest to clutch at the bleeding hole in his pectoral muscle.
The remaining thug looked at his club, and looked at the well-equipped trio, all of which were still standing, and he seemed to enter a slow timeframe in which he pondered his course of action, and on top of that, what was to become of his life. His eyes drifted onto his stump-armed amigo momentarily, and then the epiphany was made complete. He dropped his club, and bowed slightly as he managed to run backwards at a most fantastic rate, vanishing into the fumes and trash of the alley.
Yuuji's spell flashed over Kaj, sealing him up again in a pulse of cold reknitting that mad him gag, and almost empty the contents of his stomach unto the wet, dirty ground. He seemed to stabilize almost instantly, though, and his eyes didn't seem to be staring at unseen angels anymore. (+10 HP)
The Samurai's violent lean quickly turned into a violent feint, and he spun in a wicked arc, his katana slicing the air in a Dante-esque blur, there seeming a vorpal quality to his swing. Sadly, his blade slipped from his grasp, stabbing harmlessly into the ground between Hawk's legs, narrowly avoiding striking him in the thigh or pelvis, and the Samurai cursed wildly.
Kaj spun, lashing the whip across the face of the samurai and snapping it back at the last second, causing a second, deeper cut, at the base of which Hawk believed that he saw the man's cheekbone being split before crimson filled the wound, and then time slowed for a moment before the Samurai's vision seemed to blur, and he collapsed, almost peacefully, onto the ground, as though it were his home, his bed, and it were not truly made of concrete at all. There was a soft, satisfying thump, and Kaj snapped his whip as he retracted it.
The Street Samurai became Tame! (Couldn't help myself, and you saw it coming, Hawk.)

Hawk breathed a sigh of relief, and wiped his brow. He glanced down slowly at the nusteel blade embedded in the concrete between his legs. If he'd been so inclined, he might have furthered the closeness of his encounter with the blade, perhaps with upturned eyes and a stupid expression. The situation didn't really warrant such a thing, though, so he kept his relatively serious yet cocky demeanour that he had maintained throughout the battle.
"That was a close one..." he stated the obvious, knowing it wasn't necessary, but feeling a compulsion to say it none the less. "Figure we might introduce ourselves before the Docwagons get here? I don't know about you all, but I wouldn't mind at least getting the names of the people I almost just died with. Not like I could die though... trigger-finger won't let me." Hawk smirked, and twirled his pistol in his hand, waiting for a response from his two comrades in combat.
