"Well..." Kurai stopped just before walking into the door. "what good would it do if you were to leave yourself alone with you? It'd just be double the trouble, no?"
For a moment, she just watched him, her back to the door. Deciding not to wait for an answer she turned around and opened the door. Of which she held open for him to walk out before her.
"After you."

He smiled, "I'd probably seduce myself into giving up my innocence. And then my parents would be oh-so-upset."
Nodding his head, vaguely, he stepped through the door and out of the bar.
[Where to now?]

"Oh, so you're a momma's boy then?" She teased. "I half expected you to be as innocent as a player."
Glancing back into the bar behind her, she silently stepped out of the bar and let the door close behind her.
[Uh... that, is a good question. o.o Where would you like to go?]

~~Several Hours Later~~ [ph34r t3h 34sy w4y 0u7!]
Vlad pushed open the door, still laughing heartily. He stopped, motioning for Kurai to enter before him.
"Ladies first, and all," he chuckled. "'Course, after what I just saw, I don't think my mother would be asking you to her social functions much."
Still slightly intoxicated with the rush of power, he made his way to the bar to get intoxicated with something...just as delicious.

Following behind Vlad, laughing quite heartily herself, Kurai walked in through the door he pushed open.
"Why, I think I'd run away before I accompanied your mother to one of her social functions anyways."
Venturing over to the bar, she took a seat and looked over to Vlad. "I presume you enjoyed yourself then?"

He laughed heartily at that, "Like myself, I should imagine."
Seating himself at the bar, he tapped the order plate repeatedly to call the bartender. He ordered something...strong. And a chaser too, because he felt like it.
Turning back to Kurai, "Absolutely. I always enjoy that rush. I feel like doing it again. But I suppose we should break and give the neighborhood some time to breathe."

"Hell, I ran away whenever my own mother tried to get me to go to those functions." She laughed at the old memory.
Unlike him, she only felt like a glass of water. Thus, that was all she got. Besides, the bartender couldn't charge her for water, and she didn't feel like paying at the moment.
"I suppose the neighborhood did earn itself a break. Either way, that was quite enjoyable. First time in a long time that I've had so much fun."

He chuckled, lifting the glass and swirling it experimentally.
"I get away from home as often as possible. It's so boring around there. Everyone in my family's really uptight. Got no sense of fun."
The liquid in his glass was stilling, but a brief touch of his finger against the glass sent it into an almost violent whirlpool again. The force shouldn't have been sufficient to do that, but perhaps he'd used another trick.
He tossed down half of the swirling liquid before placing the drink back on the bar.
"Your family know what you do 'round here?"

She gave a weak chuckle as he started to talk about his home.
"I don't really have a home anymore. At least, I don't go back to it anymore. I'd be damned if I did."
Staring at the glass of water, she raised it to her lips and took a deep drink. It wasn't as good as a strong alcoholic drink, but it'd do for now. She didn't really feel like numbing her emotions at the moment.
"Fuck no. They practically disowned me as soon as they were able to kick me out. Said I wasn't good enough. I needed to shape up. Show them that I could help out the community."

He laughed outright. Oh yes, full of sympathy was he.
"Right, help. Because we both know how good the two of us are at drek like that..."
He took another swallow.
"Eh, I won't say you're better off, but you sure don't have to put up with some of the stuff I do."
With another shrug, he placed the glass on the bartop, "You a floater? Or do you stick around here most of the time?"

"My family is a bunch of damned saints. I, being the youngest, was expected to be just like the rest of them. Keh. Like hell I was going to be a fucking saint."
She let out a soft sigh and took another drink of water.
"I could careless if I'm better off. I'm just glad I don't have to see my folks anymore. And your stuff isn't as bad as them trying to turn me into a goody-two-shoes."
Kurai turned her head at the question and blinked for a moment. Why should he care? "A floater mostly, but I usually wind up back around here." She took a sip of her water. "Why do you ask?"

Vlad nodded, amiably, "Yeah, you've got it worse."
The last drops of the chaser vanished into his throat, as he shrugged slowly.
"Thought maybe if you stuck around, we'd do this again sometime," he said, lazily spinning the glass on the bar.
His fingers spun it a few times, and then released it. The spinning continued, but instead of slowing down, it sped up, reaching a high number of revolutions. He was watching it intently, seeming undisturbed by the unusual motion.

"Alternatively, you two could just cut to the chase and just start making out right here on the dance floor," someone cut in. "Though that might draw a little more attention than going out and beating up the local guttersnipes and halloweeners."
Guth lounged languidly on a stool next to Kurai. He'd been listening ever since they came back. They didn't really interest him, or even amuse him. He was just bored and out of work. And so he sat leaning on one elbow, tracing designs in the condensation of his drink. He hadn't really even looked at either of them when he spoke, as he doubted they'd hear. And even if they did, the conversation was dull enough that it probably wouldn't require the energy to look up anyway.

Kurai merely shrugged. She really didn't care. Or so she kept telling herself.
Staring at the glass Vlad was now spinning, she repeated his words in her mind as she thought about them. "Maybe I will stick around for awhile. I don't have anywhere to be..."
Continuing to watch him spin the glass, her brows drew together curiously as he released it and it began to spin faster. Glancing at his face, she wasn't really disturbed by the motion, but curious as to why it was happening. "How..." She let her question fade as she heard the voice of another.
Slowly, she turned her head to person who had decided to listen on her's and Vlad's conversation, and add in his own remark. Her eyes were slightly narrowed and her lips tight; eavesdroppers weren't on her list of likes. "And you, could do well to mind your own business."
