Not at all, both type I and II are heavily based around combat abilities, and a wizard has his enchanted staff so why can't a psyker have his empowered blade? This is actually something me and Keth have been disgussing for a LONG time, the only thing is making him do the damned work to make the system for it so he dosn't come back and tear off my head for creating an entire new system that he didn't want/need... Unless you guys would like to help and take a part of the blame if he gets pissed? xD

Tch, he won't get pissed at me; I'm too cute.
...
Yeah, so anyway...what my point was that though Type I and Type II are highly combat-oriented, it almost seems like they'd just be using normal weapons to blast away. Hence why my Type I and II upgrades were combat-based, since they'd probably be the most likely to upgrade their weapons for fighting.
*shrug* If you really want psionic and magical weapons, then be my guest. I'll help out if I can, but I don't really see any large ideas staring me in the face.

I was digussing with Ketha'al imbued weapons, like you could place a certain psionic power into a weapon or other appropriate item (In the case of a Type I, he could have boots for Jump if he was level 3 or higher, and a Sword with Psyonic Blade if he was the same level) Though it would come at a Force cost and you would have a harder time channeling it, so it would be a level higher or so, but it would be instantly activated as opposed to taking a turn and because the power was already partially there it wouldn't cost as much PP.

The magic staff, which I was trying to stay away from as it's quite cliché, can be easily taken care of with the upgrade system. "Magic runes etched upon the side of [the weapon] emit a powerful aura, granting [the weapon] an elemental attunement" or some such thing. The Upgrade stuff doesn't technically have to be a piece of hardware welded to the weapon.
But I like the idea of placing psionic powers onto items. The only problem you'll come up with is that eventually the Psykers will be unbalanced, as they'll have all kinds of cool stuff that they can get.

And so will mages, witches, street samurai etc... Right now we just happen to be working on psionic stuff... There's nothing saying in our conversation that we won't make the +11 keen vorpal katana's of lordly might is there? ^_^

Oooh. A +11 Keen Vorpal Katana of Lordly Might. Sounds cool. ^^
And alrighty, as long as everyone gets the treatment. Just a word of caution, though. Over-complicating a system is the fastest way to keep members away. Not saying its complicated yet, just be careful.

Members already seem to be doing a fairly good job of staying away... And where is Kafen? That bastard already said to me several times that he'd be comming here... Maybe I'll call Regrix while I'm at it... Though something tells me he'd beg for a jedi... >_>;;

...see, now, I'm not in favor of amping up everyone's weapons. At least, not right now. We should get a working weapon system under control, with the bonuses, etc. figured out. Then we can start adding in +11 Keen Vorpal Katanas of Lordly Might.
...which, by the way, I am so getting one of.
EDIT: Je...di...? *draws sharp pointy evisceration tool* Tell me I won't have to use this...

Samurai only. Psykers don't know how to hold them the right way and always end up eviscerating themselves.
I would complain about how incapable Deckers are in battle, but really it's just a matter of cash. Get enough implants and I could squash anyone's skull. ^^;

Well of course this shouldn't be done right now. Pacing is one of the key items in system construction. We just like to ponder the future. XP And I'd completely agree about the Decker's...inability to hold their own. They are a very specific class and I just hope that quests are geared toward them properly.
Wait. We can be Jedi?

*ahem*
Yeah, soooooo....
...no, Genesis. No Jedi. *glare of dyuum*
EDIT: My BGQ will have a Decker section. Hurrah.

But...but...Ancient said something about a Jedi... Technically, I'm sure one of those Psyker builds are quire close to Jedi abilities. All we really need is a katana with a modified energy blade and boom! Jedi.
That means we're actually going to go near a computer system! Cool. ^^

My computer. [shoves Genesis away]
I just calculated up how many augmentations I could get as a Decker. That's a pretty frightening character.

Did you make considerations for the fact that upgrades on previously installed augmentations don't cost extra Essence? With that, yes: Deckers can become extremely destructive machines. As in, every augmentation currently in existance. ^^

Yes, I did. And holy crap. Xan, your Psykers suck. Fear the Deckers with moola.
No, they can't get every augmentation. That costs 10 Essence even. But they can get enough to be pretty damn nasty.
