Kaj slowly stumbled into his coffin, slamming the door behind him with his foot, inelegantly. He balanced three bags full of groceries, mostly high-carb suppliments to give him quick energy, and not to mention that they didn't taste like soybeans rolled in drek, then smoked in cat urine.
He set the groceries, bags-and-all, into his little fridge, and pulled himself onto his soft little tempurfoam matress in the corner, half-leaning lazily against the wall, before he wired his cyberdeck to the wall, and then pulled the silvery spiderweb plug up to his temple. He drew in a slow breath, calming his heartrate, and then he entered.
There was a sharp exhalation, but it felt like it belonged to someone else. He was here, and now, his body a soft silvery collection of data, shaped in the shape of a cloaked wraith, with a small, localized snowstorm swirling around it, eyes glowing. Kaj simply smiled, leaving the last feelings of his body behind as he coursed deep, heading towards the shadowlands.

Nearby appeared a tall and lean figure clothed in silvery robes, bald and with slightly pointed ears, nothing along the lines of, say, an elf.
Its hands were not visible. That is not to say they were hidden in the sleeves of the figures robes, they just weren't there. No arms, either.
And the face of the figure was hidden behind a jovially smiling white mask.

"Evening, chummer." The glistening specter shook it's empty cowl, crossing it's sleeves behind it's back. "I don't suppose I know you, but it's always nice to start out somewhere. I'm the HMG. Maybe you've heard of me?" He smiled, knowing that this figure would not have, since he was relatively clean both in good reputation and bad.
Kaj sighed, although neither his body nor his avatar gave any indication of this. He needed some money to pay his rent, and for his groceries, and his debts. Maybe he'd go visit Xan, if this whole thing was successful.

The figure tilted its head in Kaj's direction, and after a few moments shook its head.
"Can't say that I have, no. Myself, I'm Puppetman. I highly doubt you've heard of me, but that'd be wiz if you have."

"Sorry, I'm in the dark too. Listen, you're obviously a cowboy of the nether regions, seeing as you're here and now, in a shiny, custom skin, and you're not broadcasting an IP. I was wondering if you'd like to assist me in a little endeavor of mine, making ends meet, you know?" Kaj's avatar's specter-hood widened at the side, giving it the impression of smiling cheeks, bulging slightly at facial contractions.
"Just a little data-thievery, nothing high-end." He nodded, then, to assure himself and this Puppetman. "It'd be easier with someone at my back."

"That depends. I have some free time, what sort of cut would I be in for?"
He certainly seemed interested, at least.

"Whatever you can fill your pockets with, my friend." The specter grinned again, and simply mumbled, or at least, the closest someone could get to mumbling, whilst within the matrix. His voice became rough and static-y, and he spoke. "121.225.61.70." was all that he issued, and the form of the snowy specter flashed and vanished at the speed of thought.
Elsewhere, in what was close enough to be counted as the same moment, Kaj's avatar slowly strode through a lackluster node, the Blue ICE running a glazed-over scan of him. He shrugged, knowing that it was essentially standard procedure, and he could still back out if they sent someone in after him. It was... Potentially harmless. Yes, he liked that term's accuracy.
He settled down and waited inside of the prismatic node's structure for the Puppetman to join him.

Puppetman then walked alongside him, looking in his direction, the same scan perform on his own person of course.
